This Sunday is Palm Sunday! On Palm Sunday we remember and celebrate the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. Jesus rode into Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover with His disciples. People lined the streets and cried out, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest heaven!” and laid down their garments and palm branches on the road before Him, as they would have to honor the entry of a king! But in less than a week this same people would be shouting, “Crucify Him, Crucify Him!” Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey rather than a horse, symbolizing a servant leader rather than a conquering king. We are celebrating the love and humility of a king that loved us and came to serve us and lay down His life for us! He is worthy of worship!

This Sunday we will once again seek the presence of God in worship and waiting on Him. This is the main event every Sunday. We know that worship and prayer was the primary activity of the early church is still is the primary condition for revival! What a privilege to be able to worship, wait and corporately commune with the Spirit of the living God!

For our focus on the Word time we will be exploring how God intends to build His kingdom on the earth through us! Jesus told his disciples: “I confer on you a kingdom, just as the Father has conferred one on me.” Luke 22:29 Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God more that any other subject! Nearly all of His parables began, “The kingdom of God is like…” So what is the kingdom of God and why did Jesus spend so much time talking about it? Was He talking about heaven? What does the kingdom of God on the earth look like? We will explore these questions on Sunday!

Hearing God’s Voice Class will start Thursday, April 12th! This class is one of the best courses on how to hear the voice of God! If you want to clearly hear God speaking to you personally – THIS CLASS IS FOR YOU! This class personally changed my life because it is not just learning ABOUT how to hear God, but it is actually practicing hearing and seeing in the Spirit. It is also the first class that was not “spooky” or difficult! Sign-up for the class today using the sign-up sheet in the entryway!

Remember that the church is open EVERY THURSDAY from 8am- 5pm for worship and prayer. As we discussed “abiding” (worship, meditation and prayer) is one of the vital aspects of a presence-based community! It is our goal as a church to have individuals or groups gathering at the church 24/7, 365 days a year! This building a set apart as a place to encounter and commune with God!

See you Sunday!
